Use your TV browser

On your LG TV, open the Web Browser and visit this page:

onistream.site/lg-tv

Choose Open TV mode, then scan the sign-in code with your phone.

Open TV mode on this screenBrowser access needs an internet connection. Playback support depends on your TV and the source.

INSTALL THE PREVIEW

Add the TV app

The LG package installs from a computer using Developer Mode. Downloading it in the TV browser does not install the app.

On your TVInstall Developer Mode from LG Apps. Sign in with your LG Developer account, enable Dev Mode Status and let the TV restart.
On your computerConnect to the same network. Follow the setup below to pair your TV and install the package.
Open ONISTREAMScan the QR code with your phone, confirm the device and choose your profile.

Keep the Developer Mode app open on your TV. Turn on Key Server and note the TV’s IP address.

Install with LG’s command-line tools

Install Node.js and the official webOS CLI on your computer. Then open Terminal in the folder containing the downloaded IPK.

npm install -g @webos-tools/cli
ares-setup-device

Choose add. Name the device onistream-tv, enter your TV’s IP address, set port 9922 and user prisoner. Leave the password empty and save.

ares-novacom --device onistream-tv --getkey

Enter the passphrase shown in the TV’s Developer Mode app when the tool asks for it. Keep this code private.

ares-device --device onistream-tv --system-info

Once the connection check succeeds, install and launch:

ares-install --device onistream-tv site.onistream.tv_3.1.0_all.ipk
ares-launch --device onistream-tv site.onistream.tv

Developer Mode is for testing and has a session timer. Extend the session in the TV’s Developer Mode app before it expires; disabling Developer Mode removes apps installed this way.
